The Business Analyst position is a challenging mix of data analysis, project management, and internal planning activities, and the successful candidate will be enthusiastic in all areas. Responsibilities will include: • Assisting with study phase of the implementations of a leading rights and program management system for cable and broadcast • Collecting, interpreting, and distilling customers’ business requirements into clear specifications and other product development artifacts • Translating textual concepts and complex relationships between entities into visual displays • Coordinating internally with technical development team, designers, and architect to translate business requirements into product features and functions, and regularly reporting status to Product or Project Managers • Creating clear and detailed process flows and user interface screens using Visio or other tools • Capturing, verifying, and publishing meeting notes, and creating project artifacts including PowerPoint presentations • Creating data migration specifications such as detailed mappings • Communicating status for product development milestones to the internal business development team • Interpreting product, market data, and client experiences into concise use case studies, and testing cases to be used later by QA team for quality assurance testing Qualifications will include: • Strong command of the English language – written and verbal • Bachelor’s degree in computer science related field or strong liberal arts degree • Outstanding problem solving skills and attention to detail; must be able to think creatively about issues to find a resolution • Ability to multi-task - Successful candidate will manage multiple internal and deadline-driven projects that will require real-time prioritization based on multiple factors • Ability and confidence to work with all levels internally and with our customers, senior management and staff • Knowledge of the media, cable, and broadcasting space is desirable but not required • Technical writing skills and facility with Visio and PowerPoint are desirable • Some travel will be required
